Yes, it's already been over 3 weeks since Olivia was born. I wish I had a better excuse for not blogging about it than I just haven't made the time.
We went in Monday, May 4 to be induced. Our friend Betsy Kennedy was my nurse and we were glad to have her there. She was also my nurse when Ryan was born. We got to the hospital around 6:30, walking past the swine flu tent. Around 8 or so the pitosin was started and shortly after that the epidural was administered. Everything progressed as was supposed to and we had her at 2:25 pm weighing 7 lbs 11 oz and 21 inches long. She was alert and still has periods where she remains awake for an hour or so. She just had her 3 week appointment and weighs 9 lb 8 oz and is in 40th percentile for length. Maybe she'll be the long, skinny one. I think she looks like Alex, but people see a lot of me in her. Either way, she is very feminine and we are very excited to have her be a part of this family.

And what a beauty she is! Glad to hear that she is gaining and adjusting to life. She, indeed, is a wonderful addition to the family.
