The Red Chair

If you've been reading these posts, you know how I feel about that little piece of our property that was previously the dog park. We haven't had any recent activity that I've been aware of. Although, a few strange things have been seen.

It appears as though pieces of our little bridge are missing. It's sort of odd because I haven't been able to find the pieces. But, why would someone come over and just take away part of the bridge???? Not sure, but weird, nonetheless.

Second situation: Me and the boys went for our daily walk to get the newspaper and there was a little wooden red chair sitting on a pizza box in the "dog park". It appears as though someone was repainting the chair and didn't have enough yard space in their own yard to do it. We were thinking of taking the chair and leaving a Thank You written on the pizza box.

So, we're still working out the kinks of why so many people consider this property and the "dog Park" to be public property. Maybe they think the Private Property sign is just a suggestion.

Sometimes you just have to let go

I took the boys over to Grandma's house this morning for their first real swim of the season. It's a heated pool so we're able to use it more often. Anyways, I bought swimmies for the boys and wasn't sure what to expect. James is quite happy to just throw pool toys in the pool and squirt Bobby with the water squirt gun. Ryan, on the other hand, couldn't wait to get in. He sat on the step for about 2 minutes and then was ready to jump in. And when I say ready, I mean, he had a grin from ear to ear, couldn't decide where he wanted to go because he was so excited. I thought he would hyper-ventilate. I kept telling him to close his mouth but he was just too excited to do that. He also kept swimming around like he wanted me to let go. I wasn't sure about that, but I finally did. And sure enough, that little monkey was kicking as fast as his little legs would allow and swimming. I didn't have my camera at the time, but will get a pic next time.
