It's Hard to Keep Up

Well, it's hard to keep up on my blogs, especially since I don't have any exciting stories. And when something fun or exciting does happen, I try to remember it so I can write about it. But I usually forget. So, here's an update of what's going on with the Holdgate's.

The house is under way. The sprinkler system got installed and we're working on the electric. Hopefully next week Alex will be able to get the sheet rock back up and then the cabinets, etc. Alex's spec house in Kiawah is almost ready to be shown and we're praying for a good contract once that happens. The market down here is pretty rough, so we're praying hard.

My Co-op starts the first of June and I'm really excited about it. Looking forward to some summer fruit and veggies.

Ryan got sick. Again. He started off with a cough and then I took him to the Dr to be told, once again, he looks fine. Then the very next morning his nose started running and the cough got worse. He has a hard time napping because he's so congested so he's cranky all day. He woke up about 7 times last night so neither him nor I got a good night's sleep. I have a call into the Dr to see what we can do. Nothing like a little child with a runny nose, another tooth coming in, constantly whining and wiping the snot all over his face.

I'm getting more involved with my Stroller Strider friends. A bunch of us are going out for dinner tonight so I'm excited about that.

Well, Ryan is still screaming so I should go check on him. Talk to you later

Annapolis

This past weekend, our family made a trip to Annapolis. (just a side note: as I'm writing this, James walks into this room with something hidden behind his back: a Lindt truffle. He managed to step up and get onto the counter and find the chocolates. He's supposed to be putting it back til after dinner, but he hasn't come back here yet.)

Anyways, we drove up Thursday, then I stayed in Annapolis while Alex went up to Nantucket on Friday. It rained the whole time, but I was glad to see Scott & Ela and the fam. Emma took a liking to James as you can see.
We enjoyed lobsters one night because Alex brought some from Nantucket. Ela and I viewed the mall and Scott drove me around downtown. A lot has changed. They're building a town center at Parole which will include a Target.
Anyways, we had a good trip home and all is well. Although Ryan developed a pretty good cough, he's in good spirits.

Fun things of today!

Well, I got a pedicure today at a new place. I was gonna go for my typical red, but I saw one of the girls with blue nails. Blue is the new thing. And since I'm so "up" on my fashions and current events, I decided to go blue. Here's a picture.

I also browsed through Old Navy today and found $.97 t-shirts and $.19 socks for my boys!! Yeah!!

Just a few things that made me smile.

Like Brother, like brother

Need I say more....

Little Monkeys

It is such a joy to watch little boys figure out their capabilities. Ryan is making more and more improvements and watching him grow and mature is a lot of fun. Yesterday I looked over to find him standing on a little rocking chair looking out the window. Today, Alex and I saw what you see in this picture. That is a rocking bassinet that was returned by some friends. Both Ryan and James have been found to play with it, but recently Ryan figured out he fit IN it. Ryan gets so excited when he does something of merit, so when he figures out he gets attention for it, he does it again.

We are travelling up to Annapolis this weekend and are so excited to see Scott/Ela and family!!
